Notre Dame; It's for the Birds

Ha. You thought you were done with France, didn't you? Sorry. Still got a few.

We tried our families first "Chesnuts roasting on a open fire" right before this, from a street vendor. They were horrible. My mouth itched so bad after, that may have had something to do with it. Note to self; allrergic to chesnuts.

Notre Dame is beautiful, that's for sure. But bid you know the birds out front are the coolest? I didn't. But we found out, after being here twice before and never seeing this. Just look at the pictures to see what I'm talking about.

Can you believe he caught that and is holding a pidgeon like it's a PET? Don't worry, we all sanitized - big time.

Sure the church is gorgeous, but the birds were far more exciting.

They only like to come onto your hand with bare skin. Si didn't like that. Notice the one glove.

He finally caught one with gloved hands. My child? Maybe.

Okay fine. Here is a shot actually IN the cathedral. But you can see pictures of this any old place. For more artistic photos, see my visit from the Spring.

Sam out back, amazing to be here. Note to Notre Dame: You really could use a public restroom. Chach had to help himself to a shrub. I did find one near here, but oh mama. I'm still crying myself to sleep at night thinking of how terribly horrible is was. I need a hot poker and bottle of purfume to help me sleep.

Notre Dame is as amazing as you might think. A true work of art in an amazing city. Even if you do want to grab the nearest rope and yell, "Sanctuary!" I still haven't climbed the bell tower; someday.

I must say I cringed a little seeing the pigeons on bare hands but breathed a sigh of relief when the sanitizer was quick to follow:)

I feel like we didn't notice the birds at all when we were there! I did flinch at the birds on bare hands. Glad to know sanitizer was working its magic.
