Winter Beach

Dear Winter in the Middle East,

I kind of like you. I mean. Don't get me wrong. I love the snow, but cool mornings and perfect afternoons of 68 degrees. You're great.

My kids love you too. They love the t-shirt and short weather, and even throw on a sweatshirt now and then.

Your water is a little too chilly. Although Sam thinks it's funny to jump in and scream now and then. But over all, we'll take the beach like this any day.

Winter. Can I ask you a favor? Could you please stay a while? I mean. No need to hurry off. Okay? Get comfy. Take your coat off. Make yourself at home.

But really winter, could you back off a little with the cold and flu? Poor Chach was in the stroller, sound asleep, curled up in a ball with the flu during this outing - and he missed our day at the beach shots. And really. The weather is awesome, let's skip the winter illnesses, alrightie?

So thanks, winter. Come back any time. Sooner rather than later would be great.

Oh, and BTW. The rain that followed the day after these beach pictures was AWESOME! Greatest day ever. You rained from before I got up, til I went to bed. Straight. It was the greatest. Simon thought school was going to be canceled. I said, "Do you mean a 'rain day'? I don't think so." But you did do some pretty sweet damage to the beach, and lot's of roofs leaked. Good work.

Thanks for the exciting weather. The overcast sky for two days in a row was a nice touch too. Well done. Anywho. Love ya. Thanks for doin' your best to prove yourself as best season ever.

Keep up the good work!

Well I refuse to be jealous, since in just a few months it will be approximately 1,000,000 degrees there. But I am a little jealous.

What a cute family! Love the pics...and isn't precipitation the best. I might have to stop complaining about the weather here because I now know someone who lives in a worse weather place than me!

I am a little jealous too. Preston gets dressed everyday in short sleeves and shorts and I have to remind him over and over that he at least has to put on pants.
