Meet Anna. I don’t know what the root of the name means, but I think it should be “kind hearted.” Anna is a dear friend I have known for so very many years. (23 in fact) We met in “honors choir” in sixth grade. (This sounds like perhaps we sing; false alarm. At least for me, anyway.) From day one, she was nothing but loving and kind to me. She accepted all of my “art projects” I made for her, graciously. Like a jar with bananas painted on it, you know, Anna Banana. See, she’s nice.
She was the first person I told when I got “the curse.” I remember standing in my parents bedroom, being remodeled into a haven of mauve, and calling her on the phone to tell her. See, and she’s still my friend. A saint I tell you.
She was with me through many a girls camp, first dances and dates. She held my hand as boyfriend missionaries came and went. (All three times!) She saved my very life at Ricks College, oh the misery without her. Never a better roommate to be found. She is still the only person I keep in contact with that actually worked a couple of days, maybe only one after being scared off, at Sister Ards with me.
And the hair, same thing.
Ohh, la la. Bothell Third girls, look out! I bought Anna's dress initially. But had to have the flowered, fluffy, other Jessica McClintock instead. Anna was always WAY thinner than me, so when she wore the red one, I was very excited that we could wear the same size. OH, except that her mom had to alter it. Smaller. To fit her. Shoot.
Roommate photo. Why was wearing ties popular that year? I don't know.
Ahh, Ricks College. Fun times, kind of. At least I liked my roommates.
Good gracious, Teresa! No one wants to see your tonsils! Sorry, 'bout that Anna. You look lovely, though.
She married a jolly little joker, who we all love. She happily puts up with all his crazy quirks. (Hi, Chris!) She is the beautiful mother of three adorable girls. And the glue to her family. Anna taught me the true meaning of friendship; giving. She has never hesitated to give of herself, her time, or her love.
Happy Birthday, Anna. I love you.

I love it! And the ties are because of Brenda on 90210, comeon, but you would need to hear that from the ex-president of the fan club from Timpview High! Any other dumb details from the early 90's, just ask!
