Sing Your Way Home

Sing your way home, at the close of the day.

Sing your way home, drive the shadows away.

Smile every mile, for wherever you go, it will lighten your load. It will brighten your road.

If you sing your way home.

This week, I want to sing my way 'home'. Bad. Sing. The Christmas Carol kind of singing. The kind "if I hear one more Christmas song I'm going to...!"

I love Christmas music, tonight I realized I haven't heard "And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmas time. The greatest gift they'll get this year is life..." I'll have to see if I can find it somewhere online. BTW, they don't even know what Christmas is in Africa. Most aren't Christians and don't believe in it anyway. Oh well. GREAT song!

Branch Christmas party at our house this weekend. Looking forward to that, and some new carpets for our VERY hard tile floors! Yeah. Now Giddy can crawl in comfort.

Christmas reminder of the day: The same Afghan-i guy that was over recently, was back again. He said to me "Americans. I think they are better." "No" I say, "Not better, BUT just as good as anyone else." "No." He says, "Better, because you think everyone is same. You think everyone is equal. That all humans are same. You have respect for all people. Us? (points to his head) We cannot understand that. This is not something makes sense to us." Very insightful. Once again, feel blessed to be who you are, born into the families you were born into. Because he's right. Most of the world has not idea what the term, "Human Rights" is. It is a concept pushed on them by the Western world. Part of our "agenda." An agenda I quite agree with.

Happy holidays.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but "Sing your way home" is not a Christmas carol. Just saying...
