Home Sweet Home

I've decided that if Peter were home for a month, no work AT ALL, after each baby - things would have been much easier. This experience was SO much better than those past. Really. It was so nice to just BE. Be together as a family. To spend time with the kids. I got to nap whenever I wanted. He held the baby so much for me. And his undivided attention for the other children was magical for both he and the kids. I don't think they've ever spent so much time together.

Chugs and Daddy spent SOOO much time together. I think their separation was harder than the other kids. He was daddy's little buddy for four weeks straight.

I did Roo's hair in curlers for the first time ever. She liked getting primped, but didn't love how she looked in the curlers themselves. I think she looked cute though. And after...

Adorable.

Chugs and Roo officially have to share a room, and a bed now. Baby got the crib and I shipped most of our beds. (half of us are sleeping in borrowed beds) But overall, the transition has been just fine. As long as Roo has her thumb and Chugs has is bappy (passy) - there is peace in the valley. They're not attached or anything...

Samuel got his Bear in Scouts while Peter was home. He got to put the pin on me, and was so sweet about it. I was thinking that I will have many years and many pins more to look forward to, with four sons. But then I realized I may not. They do have a scouting program where we're going, but I am guessing it's not as robust as it is here. Oh well. We've sure enjoyed it here. We have had fantastic scout leaders and will miss the program very much. Good thing their dad is a built in Scoutmaster where ever he goes!

We blessed Gideon before Peter left. A breakfast before church of scones, fruit, and bacon was enjoyed by our in-town family. I wish everyone could have been here, but we had a great time with those that could attend.

GIRL cousins. None of these girls has a sister, but they do have cousins!

Simon is loaded up! Please notice his bag; filled with who knows what. Candy, junk, pens, paper, rubber bands, sticks, rocks, and whatever else he can find - I'm sure. But whatever it is, it's with him at all times.

Our family after the blessing. The Gregsons, McDermaids, Hansons, and Tennis'.

Here he is in his blessing outfit. It was so cute. Grandma Gregson bought it for him. It's white linen with a little bit of brown plaid on the pocket and collar. He seriously never cries. But of course, cried through the whole blessing. Silly baby. I couldn't get any good pictures of him in his outfit either, and it barely fit the day of the blessing. So this is it.

See what I'm sayin'?

But then there are shots like this, and it makes it alright that he was fussy. Don't you just love little hands? Oh, I do. He actually was very sweet while I was holding him, but when I'd put down to try to get a good shot - he didn't like that.
And that's a little glimpse of what we did while Daddy was home.
We had a baby.
