Weird-o

We've had a lot of illness around here since returning to start our fourth year here in middle east.  I already told you about the chicken pox.  But we've also had really high fevers, sore throats, terrible coughs, and the barfs.

This week Giddie had the barfs.  It was just one night, poor little guy.  He had three pretty major episodes for a three year old.  Why in the name of all that is good - am I telling you this????

Here's why.

Upon his first visit to the porcelain god, just as he was finished and couldn't quite grasp what this terrible this was that was happening to him - he looked up at me and cried, "I want to go to the blue house!  Please can we go to the blue house?! (Utah)  This place is WEIRD-O!"  Poor little guy.  This place IS weird-o.  I couldn't have said it better myself!

Then there was a visit to the bowl laying next to him on his make-shift bed on my bedroom floor.  While on all fours retching into the bowl, he says as loud as he can, "Oh!  For crying out loud!"  He certainly can express himself - and really said everything we all feel when we're sick.

The last time in the bathroom he said, "I want to go to Thailand!  This place is WEIRD-O!  Let's get on a plane and go to Thailand....Let's talk about the elephants in Thailand mommy." (we're going there in a few weeks, and I make him go to swim lessons because he has to be able to swim in Thailand )

As you can see, the only thing his cute little three year old mind could think, is that if he could get away from this place, he would feel better.  Strangely, I have this thought on a regular basis.  Haha.  Well not really haha, but I understand why we're here and that we're not leaving anytime soon.

So my new description for our world here is WEIRD-O.  It fits nicely, I think.  :)

Poor little Gid. The place you live is a little weirdo, and he doesn't even really know it. :)
